By default, when you open (or close) a Windows session, the latter displays a banal Welcome message (or Windows Closure). Be aware that you have the option of displaying more detailed messages of what is happening at that moment. Follow the guide to activate them.
Before any changes in the registry editor, consider making a backup of it by reading our tutorial.
To do this, open the start Menu, enter regedit and do Entry.
Search the following key using the left tree:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\System
In the right column, edit the DWORD value VerboseStatus double-clicking on it. Enter 1 in Value data and click on OK.
If this value does not exist, create it by right-clicking in the right side, and then Nouveau and finally DWORD value (32 bits). Name it VerboseStatus.
Close the Register. The amendments apply immediately. Do the test by closing your session to see status messages appear.
An extra customisation tip for your Windows!
Hello — I followed the trick and my computer closes as before, nothing changed (I'm on WIN 7 Premium Family Edition 64-bit- — Good WE to the whole team —
Good morning,
normally when you start your session, it should show you several messages like “Office Preparation” or when you turn it off “Stop Services”. Are you sure you got the key right?
Re and thank you for answering Benjamin — I did the same; I have a VerboseStatus value. Reg_DWORD 0x00000001 (1) — Anyway it was just to see, so bad I'm not going to take my head — Can we delete this key without risk since it does not serve me?
No risk if you remove it provided it is located in the place indicated in the tutorial.
Re- OK, thank you it’s done and good day —
I‘m like Martiny, it doesn’t work on my 64-bit W7 Family Edition, no big deal...
Hello everyone; Uf! it comforts me, I feel less lonely! Good day
Apparently this trick only works in Pro and Ultimate editions
And the text should be put in Legalnoticecaption? Because we see him on the screen but not in your tuto?
Not this key does not concern this tutorial but apparently it only works on Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate.
Good evening
Also does not work on windows7 pro 32 bits!
Thank you for the trick!
