One rumor claims that the next Windows 8 will display a user profile menu in the right corner of the taskbar, a bit like Ubuntu or MacOS X. A feature available for download thanks to the work of a DeviantART user.

This application called Taskbar UserTile is only available in alpha version. So it is not free of bugs although it works very well on my PC.
You can download it from the following link and then click on Download File in the right side on DeviantART:
Taskbar UserTile Alpha (473.6) KiB, 1,405 downloads)
The most insiders of you can easily translate the different links of the interface into French. Also note that you can change the thumbnail by overwriting the file userpic.png in the file Resources or indicating the address of the target file in the config.ini.
Delete this file and the default avatar from your Windows user profile will appear.
If this feature were confirmed, Windows 8 would gain in user experience as well as its competitors Linux and MacOS X. Do you share this opinion?
Bonsoir,
Could you explain how to install it?
In advance thank you
It’s simple, but I should have made it clear!
Simply extract the archive in the location of your choice and then launch the program inside.
thank you for the answer
and in addition to a shortcut in the boot folder...
Good morning,
It’s a great initiative but the time saving is minimal if you're used to it...
