Learn English with Windows Media Center

English is not your mother tongue but you would like to make progress without ruining your purchase of learning software? Try the eTeacher MC online module in Windows Media Center. Unbelievable, and yet.

eTeacher is one of its additional features whose existence in software such as Windows Media Center is not implied. And for good reason, I'm going to introduce it to you in detail.

Start by running Windows Media Center using the menu Start or using your remote control — if you have one, it goes without saying.

Browse the different menus to find the one that interests us, namely: Online media.

Then click on the module Explore then on the eTeacher MC online service.

Wait then a few seconds, the time to download the necessary files.

Once the download is complete, a menu is displayed with the following choices:

  • eTeacher MC? What the hell is that?
  • Exercises;
  • Options;
  • Buy the full version;

In our case, we will choose Exercises. Rather positive, the various exercises are categorised by categories:

  • Levels;
  • Types;
  • Subjects;

Take, for example, the category Subjects then the series Life Style. You now have access to a whole list of exercises sorted by levels — the number of questions is also indicated.

Here, I suggest you try the exercise on computer vocabulary i.e. Computer vocabulary.

eTeacher then asks you if you want to perform a Learning or a Test. In the first case, you will not be noted, in the other case yes. In addition, the Learning mode allows you to revert to the issues you have failed.

Well, let’s be crazy, let’s run for... a graded test!

    Here, after MyCOW, I'm going to test this solution to see if it’s running the road, too.

    Again, thanks for the tip.

    PS: Tell me, sir Maigret, you're MCP? Or you work at Microsoft....?
    Isn't it?
    Uh, so... you're the son to Bill Gates and Steve Jobs is your godfather! ROOO, I found...
    I'm too strong sometimes (laughs)

    Good morning,

    I just made a great dumpling, I ordered the CD e Teacher MC after I discovered the application on Windows Media Center. However, when I wanted to install the application, I deleted the existing files thinking that the CD contained all the installation elements. Since then, I no longer have access to e Teacher from Windows Media Center and I don't know how to get out of it.

    In advance thank you for the tips and tricks you can suggest to me.

    Good evening
