Firefox stores all your personal information such as your download history, browsing history, passwords, forms data, user preferences... in user profiles. Let’s see how to administer them.
To do this, open the Terminal with the help of Spotlight or Launchpad.
Enter into the Terminal the following command line:
Make Entry to validate.
A new window will be displayed.
In the right column, select the profile to be changed, then using the left buttons click on the action to be executed:
- create a new profile
- rename a profile
- delete a profile
Let’s take the example of a profile deletion:
Make Delete files.
Sometimes it may be useful to delete your profile and create a new one, especially if you have problems with stability and performance. Inconvenience, you will lose all your associated data including saved passwords (unless you pass through an external application like OnePassword).
A handy tool to clean up in Firefox!
