  • Heh I've been using Recuva for quite a while
When it is not powerful enough I let do EasyRecovery Pro, which is paying it but more effective in some cases “extreme”

  • @said026 : yes absolutely as indicated by the website (download link added to download the application).

Runs on Microsoft Windows Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 and 98.

Under Ubuntu, there is PhotoRec which allows you to recover a large number of file types. No graphical interface but formidable efficiency. I was able to recover files from Ubuntu on a NTFS formatted drive with HS boot sector.

I'm preparing a tutorial about it.

it’s been twice that I use it and I have to be sucking because it didn't give anything for both cases. So what should I do? When I launch the Recuva wizard when selecting the location of the file I can't even select the “removable card” location. The problem at the base is that I have photos on my SD card but I don't find them when I open this one. It marks me zero files while when I go to properties it marks me 2.63 GB used so logically I should have all this photo! Can someone help me?

It’s curious that you can't select your SD card. On the other hand, if via the Windows Explorer you don't see your photos it’s probably not photos but other and probably “hidden” files. To display them you have to go to the folder options.

I lost a lot of photos a few months ago, I tested the software “Recuva” (free) and I bought from the Micro app editor “SOS Photos Lost” (paying: EUR 29) hoping that it would be more efficient than the first, so I could test both, Recuva is ultra simple to use (user interface well simplified, easy to understand and take in hand and free in addition!) but it has trouble recovering “all” photos, conversely, SOS is rather complex and the recovery is ultra long (and paying for it instead!) )…

In the end I lost about 190 photos, Recuva recovered from me 67 (which is not bad at all) and SOS Photo 29, the restatnt photos had to serve me as a pro title therefore ultra important (and taken in a foreign country in addition...)

I have appealed to a photo recovery website: http://www.lost-datas.com, it’s a paid service but they picked me up 167 photos and I was able to use it for my work, so by far the best solution in the end! (but Recuva remains an excellent freeware)

I also discovered that the photos even after they care and erased are not “definitively” dispqrue, they are just placed and reputed, so it is possible to recover them...
You're talking about EasyRecovery, it’s expensive, it’s reliable? (thank you in advance for your answers!)

      Good morning,
I don't know easy recovery but some commentators of this article say good. To be tested! It can be a free demo version...

And thank you for this constructive comment! I didn‘t know lost-datas and I’m still a bit suspicious with this kind of paid online service (in fact, the person in charge of this service must probably use paid software: the whole thing is to know which one. Can be easy recovery)

I will also test Easy recovery on my side:-), if I can find it in eval version, as I still have my missing memory card (too afraid to reuse it for fear that it will happen again) it will be a good test
for http://www.lost-datas.com you're right they have to have a very powerful software and I would like to know which (probably paying)...but I am satisfied with their performance;-), but good Recuva and SOS Photos are already quite a lot of be.... Good courage to all the users who have had our galleys of lost photos!

Woww I never take the time to do it but it’s worth it, really it’s amazing, I was able to get my 646 photos and 6 videos from my trip thanks to this free program! For those who hesitate and are afraid to scrap anything, try this program, it took me in all 20 minutes and I got everything back super easy! I tried for fun after lannalysis approached, but no difference, so the original version in less time is ample! I had deleted my entire photo folder from my Sony CyberShot memory card by sorting the photos...

Any case, GENERAL RECUVA! Thank you so much, I avoided my worst haha nightmare

may my God ALL MAY bless you for all your times that you had sacrificed to deepen your research for the benefit of those in difficulty.

determination, perseverance, will, suffering, technique, intelligence, are the key to better success.

for everything, your data recovery software is unparalleled of never seen, that the Almighty God, my ancestors, your ancestors and the spirits of revelations reveal you anything else hides you because the data recovery solution is at your service.

  • Hard disk recovery

Recuva is perfect for simple data recovery and file recovery. A deleted file on a hard drive, on a usb key or formatted SD card...no worries...
On the other hand it does not recover the file architecture... imagine a formatted hard drive, Recuva will recover everything but give you a very long file list....but the software is top and free...which the people ask:

  • Nadiya

Hello everyone I‘m looking for a free software because I don’t inadvertently supress all my photos of my trip and I am sad biian I tested photo recover but at the end he asks me two keys and you have to pay. if you have something to offer me his would be nice biian Mercii a lot to all =)

  • Announce time on MacOS X Mavericks

    Hello everyone,

I actually managed to recover some of my photos with Recuva on the other hand, the JPEGs appear only in small pictures and when I zoom they are blurred as if they were in miniatures, impossible to find the original format. Does anyone have any idea how to do it?

    Thank you in advance
