Right now, the Microsoft Build Conference is being held in Anaheim, California, with the program the new version of its much-anticipated Windows 8 operating system. And now you can download the Developer Preview version of Windows 8 for free without activation or MSDN account. To try urgently!

Download Windows 8 Developer Preview
3 versions are available for download:
Windows Developer Preview 64-bit (3.5) GiB, 4,371 téléchargements)
Windows Developer Preview 32 bit (English) (2.6) GiB, 6,880 téléchargements)
Of course, this version is just a preview, i.e. it does not represent the final version of the product and therefore you use it at your own risk.
Note that you cannot uninstall Windows 8 Developer Preview: to restore your previous OS you need to use a partition/disk/USB recovery key. Finally, installing Windows 8 from Windows Vista or 7 keeps your user accounts, files and settings. An installation from XP does not keep your settings (only files and accounts).

Configuration Required
This is the same as for Windows Vista and Windows 7 either:
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or more 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
- Vivid memory: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- Disk space: 16 GB available (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 compatible graphics card
- A multitouch screen to benefit from the touch experience

Windows 8: revolution or evolution?
You're really strong, Mr. Benjamin.
note that the start time of this OS is 8s
I can't download it!
Bonsoir,
I installed windows 8 from windows7 via loading the iso by daemon tool
I had at the base a multi boot for ubuntu
In the choice of Windws 7 it goes to windows 8. My concern is as follows:
1_The installation was a bit bugged so I couldn't enter a windowd live ID. Is there a default account?
2_Ai I a way to put my windows 7 back? Note that via ubuntu I saw that there was a windows.old directory set.
Thank you if you can help me.
Good morning,
I did not test “in real” Windows 8 but only with a VM (virtual machine) to take no risk (tuto available here: https://protuts.net/installer-windows-8-virtuellement-virtualbox/)
In addition, as indicated in the article, it is not possible to uninstall Windows 8. To restore the only way is to have previously performed a backup partition on your hard drive or a ghost of your system (https://protuts.net/creer-image-systeme-ghost-windows-seven/).
Otherwise it’s reformatting.
I‘m sorry I can’t help you any more.
Good morning,
First of all, thank you for your answers.
People knew a solution for the concern of windows live id?
Is there a solution?
Windows.old was very useful with NT4,reviewing this type of folders says a lot on the microsoft card chateau. Last week I tried to spread an Asus mobile (untimely blue screen) and I discovered with the live CD Ubuntu that the restoration partition is called “Vista”, Bref impossible to do anything to debugger, so I saved the lady’s personal files and installed a Ubuntu 11.04 that works from the fire of God!
So I ask the question: why'd you get in there?
yes, I had a question why she didn't settle down.
yet it was well downloading I had a machine of 2.8 x 4 ram 8 GB disc1T 0
player bloyret dvd
Please let us discover this preview. Do you have any idea when the full version will be placed on the market?
Probably in a year.
Sober and efficient! To be tested as soon as possible
Thank you for the article, I will keep you informed as soon as it is installed and tested
He looks great this new OS. Personal I didn't like windows vista at all, but since I was on windows 7 I think it’s not bad at all. I hope the new OS will keep its promises. Well I‘m not going to install this beta version because I don’t want to plant my computer
Hello, I installed Windows 8 without having previously made a backup of my system seven, formatting is impossible under Win 8, a solution?
Good morning,
normally Windows 8 had to keep all your old Windows in a folder at the root of your system partition (Windows.old). As for reformatting, it is quite possible to install/reinstall Windows 7 via DVD/Bootable USB Key...
My computer didn't have DVD windows
Good morning,
I installed Windows 8 64bits on my mobile, and I'm satisfied with it despite one or the other bug.
Indeed, the most annoying thing is that I can't keep my own organisation in the office.
Each time he puts the icons on the left and basta.
Yet I unchecked “automatic reorganisation...”, but nothing does it.
I guess we have to wait. The other bug boring, which it cuts off the WiFi connection and it is necessary to make a repair each time. So I guess, you have to wait.
Otherwise thank you for your tricks and tricks.
See you soon,
EAN-Marie
Good morning,
1) I installed Win8 beta x86 32b on an ultra-portable FSC LifeBook s7020 (Pentium M 7401.73 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, HDD SATA), it works but as soon as I want to do an OS (excluding MSE), the PC crashes and I am obliged to reinstall everything! Do you have a suggestion?!?
2) I desperately try to install Win8 Win8 beta x86 32b on an ultra-portable IBM ThinkPad T42 type 2373 (Pentium M 1.7 GHz (Centrino?), 1 GB of RAM, HDD IDE) but I get an error message 0xc0000260. Is the processor at issue? Could an installation with VirtualBox change the game?
Thank you for your enlightened answers!

Good morning,
instead try the Consumer Preview version of Windows 8 much more complete (100 000 bugs fixed between the devloper preview and the consumer preview) which can be downloaded for free in this article => https://protuts.net/telecharger-installer-windows-8-consumer-preview-gratuitement-premiers-impressions/
Let me know if you're still in trouble.
Good morning,
after trying to install the Consumer Preview,
I always get the same symptoms on both PCs (FSC s7020 and IBM T42).
For the IBM, I assume that the problem is due to the non-support of the PAE by the processor, (Pentium M series 7xx).
For the FSC, I don't understand...
Shame, the start-up is impressive in speed, and the use of apps (including MS-Office 2007, Visio, Project, PhotoShop x5 and Firefox) extremely fluid!

Have to wait for a more advanced version of Windows 8 to really get an idea, it’s useless to try to fix anything until it’s a near-final version.
thank you for the answers...
I'm gonna have to wait!
too bad, for 1 time I liked a Microsoft product..!
(Ben voui... I've been a fan of Unix since 1982, in 16 bits on PDP-11 at the time)
this good but you always have to see the differences with windows 7
I like it
it must be good to have powerful software and everything recent
