  • Multitasking;
  • Live tiles;
  • Internet Explorer 9 with HTML 5 support;
  • The revised Marketplace in terms of interface and ergonomics;
  • Applications sorted as in the Contacts hub;
  • A good 15 additional languages;
  • Custom ringtones;
  • Quick access from Bing to audio search;

On the application side

  • Angry Birds available from 25 May 2011;
  • Skype;
  • Spotify;
  • Amazon.com will offer the possibility to scan with the camera a barcode and display its description sheet and its price to (possibly) purchase the object in question;

New tools for developers

  • Access to the camera;
  • Access to gyroscopes and sensors;
  • Use of authorised multitasking;
  • Simplification of the code to use geolocation;
  • The possibility of accessing the user’s information such as contacts and calendar;

In short, a package of good, what I say, excellent things to come in the next update, Mango, which will be available this fall. One word of order: Patience! However, there are no announcements on the side of a GPS navigation app (but the arrival of the multitask may shake TomTom and cie).
